Our Sandy Getaway

Did I mention we went to Tahiti yesterday?

We were cruising around Babies R Us last night looking for a carseat upgrade for our ever-growing monster when this girl approached us. She wanted to take some pics of Miles for certification at the Kiddie Kandids across the store. I just hate to say no to someone looking to build experience ... even if I am morally opposed to such studio shots.

So, I ask for the black background and she just starts throwing in props. Of course I didn't have the heart to tell her she was making my son look ridiculous ... so we just went along with the insanity. There were choo choo trains and fluffy poking things and all sorts of wildness. Then, she was like "Let's go to the Beach!!". It was so hard to not bust up laughing. She straight up busts out the beach backdrop, foam rocks, a string fishing net, and toys!

Anyway, after a pitiful attempt to sell me $200 worth of photos, we got a free 8x10 and were on our way home.
I just about died laughing.

and, no, we did not buy a carseat

Is that the store near your house? They did that to me last summer. Gave some excuse about the husband waiting for us. But I do feel sorry for those girls. And totally confused that people actually are into that stuff.

I actually like the picture... socks on the beach are cool.

I'm loving that. I bet Miles totally loves to wear that outfit to the beach. They tried to get us to do that last week, too, but luckily my kids looked like rag-a-muffins enough to say no!

Cute picture! The beach is the best! And Miles is getting so big! Looks like he is potty trained in your other post! You are amazing!

You should see the lovely maternity picture they convinced us to get while I was prego with Eli. So lovely. That pic of Miles is HILARIOUS. I am still giggling.

I just have to say that I think the sweater, long pants, and socks make this beach scene look TOTALLY authentic! :)

Thanks for the laugh. Now I know why I stay away from studios. However...Miles looks cute anywhere. I was really hoping you were in Tahiti. Oh, how I wish!
