chomp!

I've been reluctant to admit this in blogdom, but our little Miles is a biter. This problem surfaced a couple months ago at the child-center in our Gym ... and has been plaguing my life (and countless victims' lives) ever since. We first tried time-out, then some friends told us to flick his lip. Next, we actually tried biting him back (I know, barbaric). Miles just laughed and bounced away. The only lasting impact was a mark that remained through the next day. This provoked me to try a completely different approach - positive reinforcement when he didn't bite. no luck. So, now I've done what any respectfully crazy mother would do. I took more nutso advice from a renegade mom like myself ... and tried Tabasco. That's right, straight Tabasco right on the tongue after he chomped.
He liked it.
Or, at least, he didn't not like it. So, I gave him a heartier dose. The kid licked his chops a little and happily spent the rest of his 2 minutes in time out. So, I put a little on my tongue to see what it was like. It wasn't pretty-
This little boy (my dear, sweet boy) is apparently the child equivalent of a pit bull - specifically, a pit that downs Tabasco like nobody's business.

Christmas '08
Ah, it was definitely one to remember. Thanks to a couple of incredible of snowstorms, we were able to snowboard and snowshoe like crazy. It was awesome. We spent oodles of time with each of our families and Miles LOVED all the attention. If we didn't have new toys at our house, I'm pretty sure he would leave us and hitch a ride back to UT.

We indulged in Ghirardelli Hot Fudge sundaes on four different occasions. Oh, it was good ... I've been tempted to make more fudge at home here in Denver. But, alas, I know daily sundaes have no place in reality -
And, a special thanks to my brother-in-law, Trey, for unknowingly contributing most of the above pics. It seems we may have somehow deleted ours ... ugh
